Bill would ban some single-use plastic products in Hungary
The use of a range of single-use plastic products would be banned from next January under a bill tabled to parliament by the ministry of innovation and technology on Wednesday.
The bill would extend an earlier ban to a further group of single-use plastic products from January 1, 2021,
state secretary Anita Boros told the press. She noted that the second step would make the respective Hungarian regulation stricter than those required by the European Union.

Supermarkets could also do their bit. They continue to use black plastic trays for many products despite knowing that they are pretty much unrecyclable.
